Welcome to the Washington Army National Guard Honor Guard
Military Funeral Honors Program

"Honoring Those Who Served"

Our Mission

The mission of the Color Guard is to represent the Washington Army National Guard and render proper military honors in accordance with Army Regulations and traditions at military and civil government functions throughout the state of Washington. This creates unique opportunities for our Guardsmen to actually participate in the history of our state as it happens!

Our Leadership

The Honor Guard is an "all noncommissioned offericer (NCO)" organization.  It is supervised and mentored by the most experienced senior non-commissioned officers the Washington Army National Guard has to offer.  Draw upon the wealth of experiance these professionals provide through their close mentorship. This is a great opportunity to master the traditions that have characterized service to our state and nation as Guardsmen for hundreds of years.

How to Join

Our Honor Guard is made up of Guardsmen carefully selected from amongst the finest soldiers and non-commissioned officers of the Washington Army National Guard.  Guardsmen from any unit with any Military Occupational Specialty may participate.  Volunteers must be members in good standing of the Washington Army National Guard, and must remain so for the duration of their tour with the Honor Guard.
